Taking rubles out of the country

It is against Russian laws to export large quantities of rubles (wait for laughter to subside). If they catch you with more than 500 minimum monthly wages (approximately $700) worth of rubles they may require you to get rid of them. The way to avoid this is to reconvert rubles to hard currency at an exchange booth and pick up a form.
